Build Team is broken down into three key responsibilities during DrachenFest

  • Build Team

  • Stand By Build (for during the event)

  • Closing Team

Build Team

  • Take DFAU props, sets, tents and other event items out of storage

  • Settting up the city

  • Setting up the Dragon Circle (Great Ritual Circle)

  • Setting up the camp gates and palisades for the first 2 years (faction camps put together their own build teams after year 2 so they can have more freedom of expression with their gates and palisades)

Stand By Build Team

  • Monitor DFAU tents and sets through the event

  • Maintain and make adjustments to DFAU tents and sets as may be required through the event

  • Repair DFAU tents and sets as may be required through the event

Closing Team

  • Take down DFAU props, sets, tents and other event items out of storage

  • Packing down and storing the city

  • Packing down and storing the Dragon Circle (Great Ritual Circle)

  • Packing down and storing the camp gates and palisades for the first 2 years (faction camps put together their own teams after year 2 for their gates and palisades)

Please note that there are a limited number of spots available on the build team and not all applicants will be successful.

The build team is an integral part of making sure the event is physically set up. Being a part of the build team will give you access to a discounted ticket but requires additional time commitments before and after the event.

Build has a range of requirements for different ability levels.

Discounts are as follows:

  • Set up build team: $85 ticket credit per day.

  • Stand by build: $85 ticket credit for being on standby during the whole event.

  • Closing team: $85 credit per day.

  • Meals provided on the days you are scheduled.

Conditions on the credit:

  • Non transferable

  • Valid for the year the days are worked.
