What does a DrachenFest ticket include?

A DrachenFest ticket includes access to our site from 8am on Wednesday 6th November - 10pm on Sunday 10th November to allow time for setup and pack down. Ticket holders will receive a parking spot, a space for their tent in one of the five camps (of their choosing), and access to all events, merchants, food vendors and amenities that the game has to offer. Of course, this also includes drinking water and access to ample toilets and showers.

When/ how does gameplay start and end?

Officially, the event kicks off during the opening ceremony on Wednesday evening and concludes during the closing ceremony on Saturday night.

We encourage players to get into costume and character as soon as they arrive, but also understand that this is a set-up day so full festivities may not be in full swing.

Can we arrive early to set up?

In addition to the ticket price, an option allowing for early access to the site will be available in early 2024. The earliest that non-organisers will be allowed on site with purchased early access is 8am Tuesday.

Do I need to choose my camp when I buy my ticket?

You can purchase your ticket before you decide on a camp. Head to our camps page for information about each camp and links to the community Discords and Facebook groups of each. Once you’ve decided, you’ll need to fill in a form from your camp’s coordinator to confirm your choice.

Will tickets be available at the door?

Tickets will not be available at the door or any time after the ticket sale cutoff. Ticket sales are currently closed.

Why has DrachenFest Australia been advertised in some places as a week-long event when it’s not?

In the early marketing stages, before the dates for the event were officially locked in, it was discussed that the event may be a week long. The actual set up and pack down of the event technically stretches it to be over a week long, but players are only invited attend from Wednesday (or Tuesday early access) to Sunday. We no longer advertise it as a week long event to potential players.

Where should I send a media enquiry?
